Design of Agustina Arana collection, a pattern series created exclusively for Casa Orue Albizuri project (Vizkaya), then applied on wallcovering material with Lin texture.
Pattern design for a wallcovering collection, in collaboration with SaizVerdoux Architects for Casa Orue Albizuri, an old manor house of the 19th Century. Today reconverted in a luxury holiday house, is located in Gautegiz Arteaga, Biscay, Basque Country.
The inspiration for the patterns comes from the family heraldry, and after doing some research it turned into 3 patterns with vegetable shapes of different hues, consistent with each other, that evolve in the interior of the house. They evoke the valley, the beginning of spring, the transparency of first petals and the burst of blooming.
We printed all the pattern on high-end wallcovering, specially indicated for contract, as is highly scratch and moisture resistant, totally washable and "Class 0" fire retardant. Its texture is smooth with some roughness that evoke linen fabric.
Casa Orue Albizuri is one of our collaborations with other professionals of the industry. For this occasion, we started from zero to create a new pattern, totally adapted to the project needs.
